We will review your application, check your references and phone you to discuss your requirements in detail. We will then select 2-3 candidates matching your requirements and email or send you information and photos of them. For families that are looking for a nanny we will also draft contract of employment that you are legally required to provide the nanny, and forward it to you to be reviewed. Please return it to us with any corrections or questions you may have. An au pair arrangement is typically an informal one without a contract of employment. However, Nordic Nannies requires host families and au pairs to sign a contract.
Once you have selected one of the candidates for further interview contact us to confirm the candidate's
availability and to request for her contact details. Although we carefully select and screen
all candidates, we recommend that the family interview the candidate over the phone. This will
give you a chance to ask specific questions, and to get a feel as to how she would fit into your family.
When you decide to offer the candidate the job, please contact us and we will let her know. If the candidate accepts, we will then email you our invoice for the placement fee that is due in ten working days. Upon receiving the payment, we will make travel arrangements for the candidate and inform you of the details.
We will then finalize the details of the contract of employment and forward it to both parties to be signed. Once the contract has been signed and returned to us, it will be stored in our files and copies of it will be sent to both the family and the childcarer.
