Applying for childcarer
We recommend that you start the application process a minimum of two months before the required start date for the childcarer. Begin by filling out an application form on our website and emailing or sending us photos of your family and house, especially the children and the childcarer's accommodation. Alternatively, request an application form to be sent to you and return it with photos to: Nordic Nannies, Rautatienkatu 10 B 16, 90100 Oulu, Finland.
Please read our terms and conditions prior to applying. Families applying for an au pair
should also include a welcome letter to the au pair
with the application. The welcome letter should be an informal description of your family
and the area where you live as well as the au pair's duties.
If you have any questions about how to fill out the application form please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to, for example, advise on the amount of pocket money or salary you should offer based on the description of the job. The more information you provide us about your family and the position you offer the better equipped we will be to find your ideal childcarer!
Upon registering with us, we provide the family a detailed information pack about hosting an au pair or employing a nanny. You will also receive information about Finnish culture which enables you to make the childcarer feel welcome in your home and to adjust to your culture. Similarly, all our childcarers receive an information pack about being an au pair or a nanny as well as information about the country they will work in.
