Nordic Nannies specialize in the placement of Finnish au pairs and live-in nannies to other European countries. We have an extensive interviewing and screening process for both families and childcarers in order to ensure the best possible match. We thoroughly check all references and confirm written references verbally. All our childcarers are interviewed in person, and we only accept those who are genuinely motivated to look after children.

We select candidates based on their ability to look after children and do light housework as well as qualities such as independence, reliability and flexibility. We also consider candidates' personality and interests, and stress the importance of positive attitude. Our childcarers have a very good level of English having studied it for a minimum of seven years in the Finnish education system. Most of them also speak other languages. We place both female and male au pairs and live-in nannies.

  • have childcare experience

  • have been police checked in the last six months
  • are legally permitted to work in any EEC country
